Treasure Hunt Winners Selected!!After successfully storming the city for the 54th time, Captain Billy himself selected the winners in this year's Treasure Hunt and Junior Treasure Hunt. Thanks to all of those who took part in this year's revised Hunts -- we hope you enjoyed the new format. This year's winners were:
54th Bowlegs Parade Winners Announced!The Torchlight Parade was the final activity in the Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival, and it was lovely to see so many families enjoying the event together. Thanks to all of the amazing volunteers who helped make the parade (and the entire weekend) such a success. The events are from June 4th to the 8th, 2009, and include local and regional bands, food, arts and crafts, pirates, a torchlight parade, children’s activities, fireworks and more. All Billy Bowlegs Festival vendor booths have been sold out for our 2009 event. Thursday, June 4th - Pirate Walk (trick-or-treating, "Pirate-style") sponsored by the merchants of Historic Downtown Fort Walton Beach (4 - 7pm) 1st Annual Billy Bowlegs Pub Crawl - visit participating clubs/restaurants, beginning at 6pm, Thursday, June 4th, and become eligible to win a big-screen TV! BILLY BOWLEGS PIRATE FESTIVAL AT FORT WALTON LANDING (139 BROOKS STREET, DOWNTOWN FORT WALTON BEACH): · Friday June 5th - Festival Hours: 3:00 PM-10:00 PM o Continuous entertainment kicks off with live entertainment and children’s activities, food vendors, arts & craft vendors o 7:00 PM - Skirmish between Capt.
