Armed Forces Appreciation Day - Coming Soon!

Thank you to all the sponsors and volunteers who helped to make Armed Forces Appreciation Day such an amazing event!

American Idols for Our American Heroes

Our entertainment lineup for AFAD was fabulous! We had performances by Taylor Hicks, Alabama native, soulful rocker, and American Idol winner in 2005, Kimberley Locke, "One Love Live", American Idol finalist (2003), "1964, The Tribute" (The #1 Beatles Show on Earth" - as described by Rolling Stone magazine), and the Full Spectrum Jazz Ensemble from the US Air Force Reserve Band. "Hall of Heroes"

We were honored to bring to our area real-life heroes from several of America's most storied conflicts. They appeared in our "Hall of Heroes" at the AFAD event. Several of them were profiled in HBO's epic mini-series "Band of Brothers" and "The Pacific." This was your chance to meet them in person and get autographs as well as the story of their exploits from the original source.

We also had several of our "Local Heroes," who live in this area and have great stories to tell from their military exploits. This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet all these brave veterans.
