Oxford Economics has prepared a new report for the U.S. Travel Association entitled "Potential Impact of the Gulf Oil Spill on Tourism."  Please click here for a link to that report and here for their "Roadmap to Recovery."  This is interesting reading, particularly for those involved in the travel industry.

County Resources

First and foremost, the County Emergency Management Office maintains an outstanding web site with all the latest local information.  You can access that web site by clicking here. 

They also have a new website -- a very comprehensive one -- at www.okaloosaoilresponse.com.  This site compiles a great deal of information in one spot and is updated regularly.  Check it out -- it might just answer your questions.

The federal government has an outstanding website at http://www.geoplatform.gov/gulfresponse/.  It's got great maps and the latest information from NOAA. 

A new website has been brought to our attention, and it's extremely detailed with real time information about placement of boats, etc.  That website is at http://map.floridadisaster.org/gator/.

U. S. Senate

Senator Bill Nelson is working hard on this issue.  His latest information can be found on his web site at http://billnelson.senate.gov/.
