SUMMARY:EXSA FOREVER ACTIVE- MOBILITY STRETCHING & INJURY PREVENTION CLASS
DESCRIPTION:Chair-Based Movement & Mind Fitness\n\nMoving together with joy to make everyday life easier.\n\nImprove your flexibility\, balance\, strength\, and focus on practical movements such as getting dressed\, reaching for items on shelves\, carrying groceries\, getting in and out of chairs\, and safely navigating stairs. Learn techniques to improve stability\, prevent falls\, and protect yourself if a fall occurs\n\nThese everyday activities require flexibility\, muscle strength\, and coordination. In our class\, we work together through chair-based exercises to support the abilities we use in daily life.\n\n\n\nWhat do we do in class?\n\n\n\n?? Stretching and mobility exercises\n\nWe practice movements that support muscle flexibility and help us move our joints with control. From shoulders to ankles\, we work different areas of the body to make everyday movements such as reaching\, turning\, and bending easier.\n\n\n\n?? Muscle activation and strength exercises\n\nWe begin with gentle\, controlled movements to prepare our muscles\, then progress to strength exercises suited to each person's abilities. By working our arms\, legs\, hips\, and core\, we aim to maintain and build the strength we need for everyday tasks.\n\n\n\n?? Attention\, memory\, and coordination games\n\nWe follow colors while moving\, respond to numbers with different movements\, remember short movement sequences\, and practice coordinating our right and left sides. Using balls\, rhythm\, and playful challenges\, we bring attention and decision-making into movement. These activities can be adapted to different ability levels\, adding both mental engagement and smiles to the class.\n\n\n\nWhy do we exercise in a chair?\n\n\n\nA chair provides support for seated movement. It can make participation easier for people who find standing for long periods difficult or who prefer seated exercise. We can adjust the pace\, range of motion\, repetitions\, and difficulty to suit your needs.\n\n\n\nHow can regular participation help you?\n\n\n\nOur main goals are to help you move more comfortably\, maintain or improve muscle strength\, and perform everyday tasks with greater control. Progress varies depending on your starting point\, health\, and consistency. Even small improvements can make a meaningful difference: finding a movement easier\, needing less assistance\, or feeling more capable.\n\n\n\nOur class is also a wonderful opportunity to get out\, meet people\, enjoy a conversation\, and make regular time for yourself. Moving together can help you stay motivated to keep going.\n\n\n\nWhy join my class?\n\n\n\nI explain each movement step by step\, observe how you perform it\, and offer options to suit your needs. As you become ready\, I gradually progress the exercises. You can work at your own pace in a supportive environment with guidance along the way.\n\n\n\nYou do not need any previous exercise experience. You do not need to be especially flexible or strong to get started. We can begin where you are and move forward together.\n\n\n\nYour first step could simply be to come and try a class. Get to know the group\, try the movements\, and discover how exercising together makes you feel.\n\n\n\nA chair\, a little movement\, a few laughs\, and valuable time for yourself I look forward to welcoming you!
