    Description

    Performs lead or support role throughout the life cycle of a program. Helps define program requirements, develop concept/detailed designs, prototype hardware, and integrate mechanical and electromechanical components onto military systems.  Exercises knowledge and experience with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) programs such as SolidWorks, CATIA (Computer Aided Three-dimensional Interactive Application), or Pro-E.

    Coordinates and communicates with other members of the design team and government customers to ensure program success.  Works independently to accomplish tasks. 
     
    Required

    ·         ABET accredited BS in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering

    ·         Minimum 5 years experience performing engineering-related duties

    ·         Background in Structural Design and Analysis

    ·         Some travel

    ·         Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance

    Desired

    ·         Knowledge of ASME Drawing Standards and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing principals

    ·         Knowledge of Classical and Finite Element Analysis Methods

    ·         Working knowledge of military/DOD practices and standards
