Bryan Jones for Congress
- Government - State/United States
Bryan Jones was born and raised in Florida’s First Congressional District and is proud to call Destin/Fort Walton Beach home. He comes from a family with a long line of military service and carried on that tradition once he was accepted into the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. At the Air Force Academy, Bryan excelled in the classroom and on the field. Not only did he letter in track and football at the Division One level, but he proved to be a leader among his fellow cadets.
Since a young age, Bryan has demonstrated he’s the type of leader who isn’t afraid to step up when called upon. He exhibited this brand of servant leadership on multiple combat deployments, where he led some of our nation’s finest young men and women in operations in Africa, Afghanistan and Iraq. Bryan piloted CV-22 Osprey in the heart of Taliban Country and was awarded the Air Medal with Valor and the Joint Meritorious Service Medal for his exceptional leadership in combat. Later Bryan was selected as the senior adviser to the Vice Commander of United States Special Operations Command and served as a Legislative Liaison for United States Special Operations Command working on Capitol Hill. He is currently serving as a Major in the Florida Air National Guard at Hurlburt Field, FL.
Bryan is married to his high school sweetheart, Rachel. Rachel was recently announced as the new Assistant Principal in Okaloosa County school district, and is a lifelong educator with a passion for helping others. They are the proud parents of two young daughters who are the light of their lives. Bryan and Rachel own and run a small business together and know what it’s like to cut costs and to make a payroll. Just like a business or a family’s personal finances, Bryan understands that Congress has to live within their means and can’t keep spending money that they don’t have. With our nation trillions in debt, Bryan will go to Congress to fight for Florida families, and to ensure the people of Northwest Florida get the strong representation they deserve.
As a battle-tested leader, Bryan knows that for too long, career politicians have sat comfortably in Washington, legislating our children’s future while hard working Americans suffer. Bryan has been on the front lines fighting for our freedoms, and he wants to take that same passion for service to our nation’s capital so congress can get back to the business they were designed to do — serve this great republic, not themselves. He is a strong conservative in the mold of Ronald Reagan and will be an outsider who is ready to take on the career politicians and win. He has fought for us overseas, now he’s ready to fight for us in congress.
