  • Ambassadors Ambassadors

    The Fort Walton Beach Ambassadors - also known as "The Green Team" - represent the Chamber throughout the community, greet members and visitors at Chamber events, and preside at ribbon cuttings for new members and veterans who might have changed locations.  They are invaluble to the Chamber's mission.

    All Chamber members are invited to join the Ambassadors team.  Their meetings are on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:45 am at the offices of the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce.

    The Ambassadors' Mission Statement:  The Ambassadors' mission is to welcome, educate, and guide member businesses through the countless benefits, opportunities, and services the Chamber offers.  We will also assist the Chamber in increasing its involvement and participation within the Greater Fort Walton Beach community.

    Meets the 1st Tuesday of the month at YOUR Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce. 

    Meetings start at 8:00 am

    The Community Outreach Committee plays an important role in improving our understanding of the communities we serve. The committee meetings provide a forum for business, academic, governmental, and nonprofit leaders to come together. Monthly meetings offer educational opportunities to assist your organization develop programs and activities, strengthen community partnerships, and overcome daily challenges. 

    All Chamber members are invited to attend.

    Community Perspectives

    The Community Perspectives Committee meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 8:00 am in the Chamber's Conference Room.  All Chamber members are invited to attend.  

    This is a newly rebranded committee, building upon the former Government Affairs Committee.  One aspect of the committee will be municipal government and elections.  Although the Chamber does not endorse any particular candidate in a given election, we will host a candidate forum for many of the seats up for election.  As government-related issues rise in importance, the committee will include them on the agenda.

    The committee is open to all Chamber members who want to help tackle significant issues affecting each of us living in Okaloosa County. Our 2018 Chair is Mark Franks from Eglin Federal Credit Union.

    Empower (Young Professionals) Empower (Young Professionals)

    Empower is a Committee for young professionals 40 years old and under in the Fort Walton Beach Chamber. 

    Mission Statement:  Empower's mission is to help our FWB Chamber young professionals grow their careers, build the community, and connect with each other.

    We meet once a month, on the 3rd Thursday of each month at a different Chamber member restaurant. 

    The Empower Chair in 2018 is Matt Ausley from Smith, Anchors & Grimsley.

    Heath Care Heath Care

    The purpose of the Health Care Committee within the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce is to enhance our businesses by providing goods and services within the healthcare industry and to better the health and well-being of the citizens within our community.

    The 2018 Chair of the Health Care Committee is Elizabeth Chestnut, Fort Walton Beach Medical Center

    Any Chamber members is invited to attend Committee meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of each month - 8:00 am at the offices of the Greter Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce, 34 Miracle Strip Pkwy., SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL. 

    Military Affairs Military Affairs

    Established in January 1978, the Chamber’s Military Affairs Committee (MAC) is composed of 60+ Chamber members who have asked to become members of the organization and to extend their friendship to further strengthen the relationship between active duty military members and the community as well as lend their support and expertise to the military community and mission. 

    MAC members pay annual dues over and above their regular Chamber membership dues.  MAC Member dues support the monthly meeting catering costs along with the MAC’s many activities which include participation in the quarterly and annual outstanding Airmen awards at Eglin AFB and Hurlburt Field, Wing Level Picnics at Eglin and Hurlburt Field, and numerous requests made for funding support by various military and supporting organizations. 

    The Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee has developed a well-earned outstanding reputation in the local Military Community as one of the leading military personnel support organizations within a chamber of commerce.  Mr. Ryan Price of HST Corporate Interiors is the presiding Chair of the MAC for 2018.

    Tourism Tourism

    The Tourism Committee works to create a positive environment that enables tourism to grow and compete effectively in the marketplace. The members are all leaders of their organizations, and range from convention and visitors' bureaus to attractions - from hotels and condos to transportation and restaurants. 

    The 2018 Chair is Pedro Caraballo of Hampton Inn & Suites - Mary Esther. His co-chair is Owen Martin of The Owen Organization. The committee member will meet at the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce. All Chamber members are invited to attend.

    Meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.  The meetings begin at 11:30 am in the Chamber's Conference Room.

    RPM - Referral Partners & Marketing RPM - Referral Partners & Marketing

    Mission Statement: 

    The mission of the Referral Partner & Marketing Committee is to promote business leads & referrals between its members as well as offer beneficial marketing and PR exposure to the committee members through large scale networking events that each individual member may not necessarily be able to afford on their own.

    Vision Statement: 

    The vision of the Referral Partner & Marketing Committee is to become a major driving force of sales for each active committee member through lead referrals and networking events and to be known and respected by the entire Chamber membership.
