• Why Join the FWB Chamber?

Our members say it best . . .

  • David Presnell and Barbara Dean, Owners of Painting With a Twist, Fort Walton BeachI knew this Chamber was different . . .

The minute I walked into the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce to inquire about a membership, I knew this Chamber was different.  I was immediately attended to by a membership executive who fielded my questions and (because I was new to the area) provided info about local events, restaurants, attractions, and Chamber events.  The enthusiasm was contagious, and so I attended a First Friday Coffee in October 2015 "anonymously" as an observer.  I thought I would sit back and observe and speculate about the pros and cons of a Chamber membership during this event and to test the water of being a member.  I stayed "anonymous" for about two minutes before I was approached by a Board member and quickly introduced to quite a few happy, engaging, friendly and interested people.

Upon joining, I met with the President of the Chamber personally for a FWB Pep Rally and guidance session that was invaluable-- and very much appreciated.  I was invited by another Board member to an RPM meeting where I met more driven, motivated, and goal-oriented people.

As circumstances had it, we wouldn't open our business for another five months due to permitting and build-out issues, but I stayed engaged with the Chamber through its many events, committees, and new relationships.  As a testament to this, we had over 200 people attend our Ribbon Cutting/Grand Opening in May of 2016!

Without a doubt, this Chamber gets things done!  It is inclusive, proactive, foresighted . . .  and fun!

Ted Corcoran, along with the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce staff, has come through for my business in a huge way.  I want to personally thank them for promoting JDF Architecture throughout our wonderful community.   The connections with community leaders I have made over the past eight years have grown my business more than I could have imagined.  To all of the inactive and new members . . . get involved and get connected!  You won't be sorry!

  • It gives you great opportunities!Nic Dezinski, the managing director of Creatief Marketing Group

The Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce is important to me because it provides opportunity.  Opportunity to grow your business or organization through networking, building your referral network, and having fun while working.  Opportunity to really get to know the leaders in your community.  Opportunity to get involved in making where you live and work a better place, a place where you will feel connected and proud to live.  And opportunity to make a difference in others' lives who are less fortunate that you are.  If you join the Chamber and actually use your membership to your advantage, get involved, make the time and have a strategy, you will find it is important to your success in more ways than one, both professionally and personally.  You never know the opportunities it will provide for future years to come.
