Stage Crafters is delighted to announce auditions for our final production of the 2018 season, "A Chorus Line"!
"A Chorus Line" is the sixth longest-running Broadway musical ever with music by Marvin Hamlisch and lyrics by Edward Kleban. Centered on Broadway dancers auditioning for spots on a chorus line, the musical is set on the bare stage of a Broadway theatre during an audition for a musical. "A Chorus Line" provides a glimpse into the personalities of the performers and the choreographer as they describe the events that have shaped their lives and their decisions to become dancers.
It is a large all singing, all dancing cast and there are over 20 parts for both men and women 16 or older. Auditions are open to the public and no pre-prepared audition material is required, however as this is a dance heavy show, we are encouraging anyone who would like to highlight your dance talents to bring a pre-prepared 1-2 minute dance number (tap, ballet, modern). Please bring your dance music on a CD or electronic device.
Please wear comfortable dance wear, sweats, or shorts. There will be vocal, dance, and acting auditions. You are encouraged to attend both days of auditions. Show dates are Nov 09-18, 2018 and rehearsals will start the Wednesday after auditions.
Auditions are Sunday, Aug 19th, 2018, from 2-6 PM with scripts available at 1:30. And Monday Aug 20th, 2018, from 6:30-10 PM with scripts available at 6:00
