Three years ago the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce along with the City of Fort Walton Beach, made the decision to save the oldest building in Fort Walton Beach – The Gulfview Hotel. In preserving this historic building the chamber began meeting with some of the families who have lived in Fort Walton Beach for generations and we began recording their stories. On Monday, February 17th, the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce is hosting a viewing party to show The History of Fort Walton Beach at the Fort Walton Beach Civic Auditorium and we’d love to have you join us for the show!
The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with lite fare and beverages, commentary at 5:30, and the official viewing will begin at 6, with the event concluding at 7 p.m.
