Photographer Stan Zalace, will speak on "Niche Photography--Tales, Tools, and Techniques of Animal Shelter Photography" at the ADSO Luncheon on Wednesday, November 19. After an Air Force career, Zalace took up photography as a hobby, which he uses in support of his community by volunteering as an animal shelter photographer. His personal goal is to create high quality portraits of companion animals housed at a shelter, which are then posted to the internet as an adoption aid. His subject will be animal photography in a no kill shelter, primarily dogs, though will touch on cats. He will address tips and techniques useful for taking animal shelter photographs that also work well on pets at home.
Zalace will share his information at the Art Center Gallery, 17 First Street, Fort Walton Beach. The Luncheon, which is open to the public, will begin at 11:30. Cost of the luncheon is $12. Reservations must be made no later than Monday, November 17; cost of luncheons for reservations after that date is $15.
