ADSO's April Luncheon

Sue Tarkin, known for her works in encaustics, but an artist with broad interests, will be the featured speaker at the ADSO luncheon on Wednesday, April 23, 2014.

Using a photo she took of a flowerbox in Rome, she will show how an artist can do many things with one photo, in various media.

She will show the photo as taken, and then how it can be transformed, using a number of media, including watercolor batik painting, encaustics, and crashed glass techniques.

Tarkin will demonstrate her artistry at the Art Center Gallery, 17 First Street, Fort Walton Beach.

The Luncheon, which is open to the public, will begin at 11:30. Cost of the luncheon is $12. Reservations must be made no later than Monday, January 20; cost of luncheons for reservations after that date is $15.
