    Opening reception for the Arts and Design Society's "Shiver Me Timbers" Show, co-sponsored by the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled for Friday, May 8, from 6 pm to 8 pm.

    The exhibition features works, in any medium, with a pirate theme, as a salute to the Billy Bowlegs Festival, now celebrating its 60th year and Diamond Jubilee. The show begins May 5 and runs through May 29. Gallery hours are 12 noon-4 pm, Tuesday-Friday, and 1 pm - 4 pm, Saturday. Admission to the reception and the gallery is free and open to the public.
