Black History Month Banquet

The Okaloosa County Democratic Party Black Caucus will celebrate Black History Month with its 1st Anual Black History Fundraising Dinner on Saturday, February 1 at 6 pm at the Ramada Plaza Beach Resort on Okaloosa Island in Fort Walton Beach.  Tickets are $50 per person, with proceeds benefitting the organization's annual "get out the vote" campaign.

Working for a New Florida:  "Teamwork Makes the Dream Work" is the theme of this year's event and will feature a military color guard, two performances by the Emerald Coast Performing Arts Alliance's "Generations:  A Collection of Black American Music," Martin Luther King, Jr. student awards and acknowledgments.  The keynote speaker will be Dr. Melvin T. Stith, Dean Emeritus, Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University.
