2013 Emerald Coast Marching Contest sponsored by the Choctawhatchee Style Marchers will be on Saturday, October 19th. 9 high schools from Northwest Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee are coming together to compete for the title of Grand Champion of the Emerald Coast. Returning for the 3rd year is Father Ryan from Nashville, TN, and as always, your very own Choctaw Style Marchers will perform in exhibition. Each school will march to intricate choreographic steps and specially arranged musical selections, all custom-built to showcase their attributes. Each band may perform with an auxiliary composed of flags, batons, rifles, dance teams or a combination of these. The Emerald Coast Marching Classic will take place at Choctaw's Etheredge Stadium, 110 Racetrack Rd, FWB. The gates open at 3pm and Contest begins at 4 pm. Cost:$8 per person/ $5 ages 5-9 / Free - Ages 4 and under. Concessions will be open and will include Chick-fil-a and Zaxby sandwiches, Domino's pizza, DVD filming, instrument repair by Playground Music, and souvenirs.
