Most must make choices involving food, housing, utilities and medical/medication expenses.
They cannot afford the exorbitant cost of cooling their entire house or the luxury of repairs to HVAC systems.
Elderly people are considered one of the most vulnerable groups during heat waves, experiencing a significantly higher risk of heat-related illnesses like heat stroke and heat exhaustion due to age-related physiological changes that impair their body's ability to regulate temperature.
We are asking you for your support to alleviate some of the suffering and despair experienced by these fragile individuals. We are seeking donations of portable cooling units or dual use window units to distribute to those in crisis.
We will also accept any monetary donations to purchase units needed.
ALL donations are welcome, and we will be highly honored for the support.
