Emerald Coast Public Relations Organization (ECPRO) will host their monthly “Lunch and Learn” meeting on Tuesday, September 25th, 2012 at Angler’s Beachside Grill on Okaloosa Island. 

Networking begins at 11:30 a.m. with the meeting starting at 11:50 a.m.

Kevin Almodovar first fell in love with technology back in 1983 when he signed up for a computer class in the 7^th grade that sported all new 8 bit Atari 800 computers. By 1984 he had purchased his first computer and that is when he truly started to appreciate the technological age.

After graduating high school he joined the Air Force and trained as an Avionics System Electronics Technician to repair laser guidance, infrared detection and low light television systems. During his 4 years in the military he was stationed at Hurlburt Field, Korea, and Eglin Air Force Base. After earning a degree in technology and receiving an honorable discharge from the air force in 1994, he worked with SynTech, a military contractor, as head of the Quality Control for their electronics department.

After a year he moved to Tampa, Florida where he was hired by the Circuit City Repair Center to fix consumer level electronics and computers. By 1996, in the midst of the internet boom, Kevin was repairing, troubleshooting and also building computers. After 4 years with Circuit City he decided to move back to the Emerald Coast to pursue a business venture far removed from technology, a beach service. But with computers and the internet still in his blood he continued to build and repair computers and by 1998 he ventured onto the web to build his first web-site. As the beach service grew and became self-sufficient it afforded Kevin more time to dedicate to web and media development.

Seeing that the internet was moving towards a media rich medium he began his venture into the video production industry and he started a company called Almo Productions. Through all of his projects he developed his skills for utilizing high end video cameras and he learned to make use of non linear editing systems which allowed him to compress and deliver video for the internet. Three years later he partnered with Lynn Dominique to open a store front that would provide all of the products that are needed for broadcast and to be visible on the web today (Revive Media Services).
