Emerald Coast Rider Open House & Workshop

Okaloosa County Emerald Coast Rider (EC Rider) and Maruti Fleet and Management requests public participation in a Transit Workshop and Open House on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. The Open House will be held at Okaloosa County Transit, 600 Transit Way, in Fort Walton Beach, and refreshments will be provided. A committee of community partners have been working for months with the new contractor for the EC Rider system, Maruti, in order to improve the transportation system. Many issues have been addressed, and a brief glance of the new system changes are highlighted below.

“I am optimistic about the new EC Rider – a lot of public input and working with local municipalities has resulted in making the new transit system better, easier to use and easier to access,” stated Commissioner Carolyn Ketchel, liaison to the Transportation Disadvantaged Coordinating Board.
