Orthopaedic Associates will host a free educational seminar on joint replacement on Monday, October 19, 2026, at 5 PM at Embassy Suites by Hilton Destin-Miramar Beach, located at 570 Scenic Gulf Drive in Destin. Anyone considering joint replacement—or simply looking to learn more about their treatment options—will have an opportunity to hear about the latest treatment options, robotic-assisted technology, surgery and recovery from one of the region’s leading orthopaedic experts. Hosted by Orthopaedic Associates, the seminar will feature T. Jacob Seales, M.D., a fellowship-trained and board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, who will provide attendees with information to help them better understand today’s joint replacement options in order to have more informed conversations about their joint health and what to expect before, during and after surgery. Dr. Seales is the only Mako® teaching surgeon in the region and leads the Gulf Coast’s premier Mako® Robotics teaching and observation site. His presentation will explore how robotic-assisted technology is being used in joint replacement, along with surgical options and the recovery process. The seminar will also feature special guest Brad Cobble, who will discuss important considerations surrounding insurance and Medicare coverage for joint replacement procedures and recovery.
