Free Lunch and Learn on Dementia

A free lunch and learn seminar on dementia will be sponsored by Covenant Hospice and Amedisys Home Health on Tuesday, September 17 at 11:30 a.m. at the Fort Walton Beach Senior Center, 31 SW Memorial Pkwy.

Debbie Whitney, RN, BSN in Behavioral Health will present "Why Are My Keys in the Freezer?: Uncovering the Differences between Normal Aging and Early Dementia." Seminar attendees can expect to learn the difference between the normal aging process and the beginning stages of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, as well as an overview of both diagnoses’ signs and symptoms. Resources will be made available to caregivers, family members and friends of those facing dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Lunch will be provided.
