It's football season and Gabbi is in a social mood! Gabbi, the Save Our Cats and Kittens (SOCKS) store kitty and perpetual hostess for Cats Crossing, the SOCKS Thrift Store, announces her next store event and fundraiser: ''Gabbi's Tailgating Party'' on Sunday, October 26th, 2014, from 2:00pm to 4:30pm, at 498 Carmel Drive, in Fort Walton Beach. In keeping with the theme, your $6 ticket will give you hamburgers, hot dogs and other typical tailgate food, as well as your choice of beverages. As is always the case with Gabbi's events, there will be store specials, newly arrived merchandise, and raffle items.
We are still looking for donations of sports memorabilia and specific food items, as well as volunteers to help out at the event. If you have either time or items to donate, please call Nancy at 850-865-6866, or email SOCKS at SOCKS@saveourcatsandkittens.com.
Tickets will be available at the door, but it would be helpful if you bought your ticket ahead of time at the thrift store.
