Jazz at The Island is the concept of Jazzy Ray who had the vision of filling the void of live Jazz events in Fort Walton Beach. After the success of Gulf Coast Smooth Jam, their premiere jazz event Memorial Day weekend 2018, Jazzy Ray & Jay Smooth Entertainment went to work planing Jazz at The Island.
This outdoor event will embrace the pleasant fall October evenings with the emerald green waters of the Gulf and white sands of Fort Walton Beach as a backdrop for one of the hottest Smooth Jazz artists on the Smooth Jazz charts, Paula Atherton, who Ray has tagged as the Triple Threat of Smooth Jazz.
Paula is a dynamic saxophonist, flutist, and vocalist using her unique twist on Smooth Jazz influenced by Funk and R&B. Saxophonist Chris Godber from Panama City opens the show backed by The Gino Rosario Project from Pensacola, and then Gino brings the heat before Paula takes the stage.
