Name: Let the sun shine in! Discussing the Solar Ballot Initiative
    Date: October 28, 2015
    Time: 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM CDT
    Event Description:
Green energy is important for our future, yet Florida is one of only four states that prohibit citizens from buying electricity from companies that will put solar panels on your home or business. Floridians for Solar Choice believe everyone should have the opportunity to use solar power. The League of Women Voters of Okaloosa County invites you to join us from 5:30-7:30 pm on Wednesday, 28 Oct, in the Niceville City Council Chambers (208 N Partin Dr, Niceville) to hear all about the grassroots citizens' effort to help Florida homes and businesses put the "sun" back in the Sunshine State. Guest speakers include Panama City Attorney Alvin Peters and Pensacola-based solar entrepreneur Dan Gardner. Topics include the history of the solar energy initiative, the petition itself, who opposes it and how you can become involved. The event is free and open to the public.
