Emerald Gold on the Emerald Coast is a band for all occasions. Emerald Gold drives to entertain the masses with a blend of Motown’s Rhythm and Blues Funk and Soul music from the 60s through today’s hits. The melodic sounds of lead singer Rodney Wilson is a local treasure, nick named Soul Singer Extraordinaire he is a venue favorite year after year. The core members of band consist of; Mark Arrington (Guitar) Spud Cottingham (keyboards) William Pierce (Bass) and Thomas (Bart) Bartleson (Drums) have been performing in the area for more than 10 years. A special guest three piece horn section lead by Mr. Rodney Brown accompanies the band from time to time, bringing an enhanced experience for all. A dance band in every sense of the word, Emerald Gold gets the crowd on its feet from the first note and keeps them rocking through the night. While Motown is the preferred and welcomed genre, the band’s performers of Rock/Roll/Country are always crowd pleasers. The love of music flowing from the band to the audience can’t be missed if you follow your heart. It is written music is what feelings would look like if you could see them.
