The City of Fort Walton Beach, along with our partners, is throwing a huge New Year’s Eve Celebration and party in Downtown Fort Walton Beach! Whether you’re in it for the glow run, the music, the fireworks, the kids’ activities, or the downtown hangouts, everyone’s pitching in to make this your go-to spot for New Year’s festivities! 6:00 p.m. Run With It Presents: Blingin’ in the New Year 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
What better way to kick off a night of festivities than with a glow run? Your race entry fee also gets you some fun, glowing accessories for your night of celebration. Then keep running straight over to the after party at KC’s Sandbar for beer, champagne punch, soft drinks, and food. For more information, click here for the online registration page.
7:00 p.m. The Landing Party Begins! B-Boy Productions gets the music started and keeps it going ’til 1:00 a.m. between our live entertainment sets.
8:00 p.m. Heritage Performs Live! Catch Heritage, one of the hottest bands around, as they take the stage in front of our beautifully lit, 30-foot Christmas tree from 8 p.m. to midnight!
12:00 a.m. You Know What Time it is… Fireworks at the Landing! Don’t be late for the midnight countdown and FWB Treasure of the Emerald Coast Treasure Chest Drop, sponsored by the Downtown FWB Organization! Immediately following, the City of Fort Walton Beach and Community Broadcasters, LLC are hosting a waterfront fireworks show to ring in the new year right.

Parking & Transportation
7:00 p.m. For the convenience of our guests, our friends at Emerald Coast Rider begin FREE transportation service with regular
route stops throughout the night at:
-the Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island
-Uptown Station on Eglin Parkway
-Fort Walton Landing
-FWB City Hall on Miracle Strip Parkway
Shuttle service will continue throughout the evening until 2:00 a.m. Click here to view the map of pickup and drop-off locations.
8:30 p.m. The westbound lane of Brooks Street will be closed to vehicle traffic between Eglin Pkwy./Hwy. 98 (Wayne Patton Realty) and Perry Ave. SE (Northwest Florida Ballet Academie) with the eastbound lane remaining open through the evening. The westbound lane will be reopened at approximately 1:00 a.m. For more information about the lane closure, contact the city’s Engineering & Utility Services Department at (850) 833-9607.
