    According to the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000, “Approximately 50,000 women and children are trafficked into the United States each year.” As a healthcare profession, it is important to understand the impact that human trafficking has on public health. This training will:

    • Define human trafficking

    • Identify the characteristics of a victim of human trafficking

    • Pinpoint the healthcare needs of a victim of human trafficking

    • Cover community resources available to victims and healthcare professionals in Northwest Florida
