    Event PhotoThe Northwest Florida Ballet presents the second production of their season - Stars of American Ballet, featuring principal dancers from the New York City Ballet performing works from acclaimed choreographer and co-founder of the New York City Ballet, George Balanchine. The performance will be held on Thursday October 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the Mainstage Theater of the Mattie Kelly Arts Center in Niceville.

    Box office priced tickets for Stars of American Ballet are $35 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. Visit nfballet.org/tickets to purchase tickets.

      Credited as the founder of modern American ballet, Balanchine’s featured works will include Apollo, Tarentella, Who Cares? and more. The program also includes a stunning Pas de Deux, After the Rain, choreographed by former New York City Ballet resident choreographer Christopher Wheeldon.

       Wheeldon received a Tony Award nomination for his choreography for the Broadway show An American in Paris. Founded in 2008 and directed by New York City Ballet principal dancer Daniel Ulbricht, who works alongside Executive Director Andrew Robertson, Stars of American Ballet’s mission is to one day see all parts of this country entertained, educated, lifted up and inspired by the show stopping artistry and athleticism of ballet.

    Season and individual tickets for all NF Ballet events are available now directly from the Ballet. Individual tickets for this event are $35 adults and $15 for children 12 and under. Advance purchase directly through the Ballet is recommended for best seating selection.

      The Northwest Florida Ballet celebrates its 47th year as a regionally recognized semi-professional ballet company and school. In addition, NFB has developed the nationally acclaimed Académie – an integrated academic and dance education program serving 156 students from the third to eighth grade. In 2012 the NFB introduced the Pre-Professional Program – an intensive dance program for the 9th to 12th grade students preparing for a career in dance .The NFB is led by Artistic Director and CEO Todd Eric Allen, an area native.
