Okaloosa Co. Board of Commissioners Meeting

• Tuesday, April 2, at 8:30 a.m. the regularly scheduled Okaloosa County Commission Meeting will be held at Crestview Courthouse, 101 E. James Lee Boulevard in Crestview.

Executive Session immediately following the Commission Meeting on April 2, 2013:  After the meeting is convened, the Board will go into closed session pursuant to Section 286.011(8), Florida Statutes. The subject matter of the executive session is 1) the Zimmerman v. Okaloosa County and 2) Okaloosa County v. Meigs Family Trust litigations. The discussions in this session shall be confined to settlement negotiations or strategy sessions related to litigation expenditures as to these litigation matters. The session will be recorded by a certified court reporter. The meeting will last approximately one hour and will be attended by Chairman Don Amunds, Vice-Chairman Dave Parisot, and Commissioners, Kelly Windes, Wayne Harris and Nathan Boyles; County Administrator James Curry, County Attorney John Dowd, and Special Counsel, Greg Stewart, Esq.

Following the closed session, the Board will reconvene in open session in the Board Chambers so that the Board can take action, if necessary. After which, Chairman Amunds will announce the termination of the executive session.
