    Name: Panhandle Music Festival Show
    Date: September 22, 2018
    Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM CDT
    Event Description:
Men and women (a cappella singers) from across the Panhandle (Tallahassee to Mobile) and local high school student choruses are invited to attend an annual event organized by the Emerald Coast Chorus and supported by the Sunshine District and the Barbershop Harmony Society.  The purpose of the weekend Festival is to refine the singers' musical kills and teach performance techniques. The Festival will conclude with a show on Saturday evening.  The show's finale will combine all singers into a nearly 300-person chorus on stage singing traditional and contemporary songs in the barbershop harmony style.

Singers gather at Camp Timpoochee in Niceville every year for a weekend of learning about singing in the a cappella style, entertainment techniques, and choral and quartet performance skills. A lot of fun and fellowship are also shared during this teaching weekend, which culminates in the Saturday night show for the public.

Student participation in the annual Festival has increased over the past six years from 40 to over 100.  There is never a charge to any student or school.  Revenue from the show helps to defray student cost.

Tickets ($15.00) will be available from Bayou Books in Niceville, from any barbershopper, or at the door the night of the show.
