The Healthy Start Coalition of Okaloosa and Walton Counties will host a FREE half-day seminar entitled Prescription Addiction: Pregnancy, Babies, Families. The featured speakers are Dr. Craig Rikard, recipient of the 47th Georgia Author of the Year for Memoir, “Hidden Epidemic.” Roland Reeves, MD, ABAM Medical Director of Emerald Coast Recovery and South Walton Medical Center. Both speakers will address the growing problem of addiction to prescription drugs from both personal and clinical viewpoints.
The FREE seminar will be held on Friday, November 9th from 8:30 a.m. until Noon at Shalimar United Methodist Church, 1 Old Ferry Road in Shalimar. Light refreshments will be provided.
