All organizations will benefit from creating a ‘road map' or strategy for their future. As was once said, ‘If you don't know where you're going, you might end up someplace else.' The first steps in strategic planning is to create or critique the organization's mission, vision, and values. With a good mission, vision and values in place, the key stakeholders can define a ‘three year vision' for the business or organization. Once the ‘three year vision' is defined, annual goals and objectives can be determined. Measurements and tracking of the goals will allow everyone to make sure progress is being made. Finally, the activities and accountabilities needed to execute on these annual goals are defined in an action plan complete with who is responsible, and what deadline is assigned for every activity. This process will allow the strategic plan to become actionable with all stakeholders having a role in the future success of the organization.
In this training you will learn:
• Why strategic planning is critical to your organization's future
