Helen Back is continuing what will become a long standing tradition in the community. On Saturday, December 13, at Niceville Stadium local members of three branches of the Armed Forces together in one spot as they battle for the Helen Back Cup on the same day as the storied Army-Navy game. Boot Bowl II, will feature competitive flag football teams from three area military installations, with representatives competing from the Army's 7th Special Forces Unit, Eglin Air Force Base and the Navy's EOD School.
The entry fee is $5 at the gate, kids under 10 are free. All attendees will get to attend the after party at all Helen Back locations for free pizza following the event- during the televised Army/Navy Game. VIP Packages are available at bootbowl.com
This year the event is sure to bring together our community in an even bigger way to support the Fisher House and our local military members. The players are really getting into it as well this year- The Navy had to hold tryouts because they had some much interest among them. It's rumored that the Army is bringing in some additional coaching assistance. And the Air Force has been practicing all year long to ensure they can defend their title!
The Boot Bowl benefits the Fisher House of the Emerald Coast. The Fisher House is a unique non-profit organization that provides a home for military families when a family member is being treated at a local medical facility. It is open to all branches of the military, no matter how long someone served or if they are still serving.
