Walk MS: Fort Walton Beach

Walk MS: Ft. Walton Beach is a community event where walkers are hoping to raise more than $29,000 to stop multiple sclerosis in its tracks, restore what has been lost and end MS forever.

The walk will take place April 9 at Central Park at Uptown Station.

Walk MS is an opportunity for people living with MS and those who care about them to connect, be inspired and raise critical funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Funds raised by teams participating in the walk will support programs and services that directly benefit families affected by MS in North Florida, such as educational programs, emergency financial assistance and scholarships for students who are affected by MS. In addition, these funds help generate cutting-edge research to find a cure for this chronic disease of the central nervous system.

There is no fee to participate, but participants who raise at least $125 will receive a 2016 Walk t-shirt. Other prizes are available for additional fundraising.
