The Fort Walton Beach Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. together with the City of Fort Walton Beach, FL & the Okaloosa County Branch of the NAACP Youth Council solicits your support for our upcoming 14th Annual Youth Super Day Community Service Event to be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013. The theme of this year's program is "LEARN TODAYTO LEAD TOMORROW''. This is our chapter's premier community service project. Over the past 14 years, the partnerships formed with organizations like yours have been invaluable in supplementing our efforts that ensured a successful Youth Super Day program. Youth Super Day is a full day of exciting activities which benefits and inspires young men and women. The morning session is primarily a motivational workshop featuring community leaders and distinguished guests from various professions. Panel members will answer questions and provide encouraging speeches about staying in school and pursing their dreams. The afternoon session is a spring day in the park consisting of food, fun, and games, live music, physical fitness
demonstrations and more. Trophies and prizes donated by local businesses are awarded to all youth participants. Youth Super Day has been growing in both participation and popularity each year. Last year over 300 youth participated in the program. The continued success of this event is due in large part to the support we have received from the community and panel guests including: WingCommanders from Eglin Air Force Base/Hurlburt Field, Mayor of Fort Walton Beach, Okaloosa
County School Superintendent, President of Northwest Florida State College, Fort Walton Beach Police and Fire Department Chiefs, and the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center Chief Administrator.
