Emerald Coast Chorus

Our purpose is to sing and entertain. The Emerald Coast Chorus is the local
Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, a worldwide fraternity of men’s singing organizations. We have 800 chapters (over 28,000 men) in the Unites States with affiliates in nine other countries.

WHY DO WE EXIST?

To entertain people of all ages, educate the public about a true American art form and to preserve this art form (Barbershop Singing) so our children can enjoy it in the future. Our type of singing is also one of the few American art forms that we, as Americans, exported to the rest of the world.

This is a GREAT “hobby” a man can enjoy from the age of twelve well into his eighties. We have virtually no age limit. Young men under the age of eighteen are welcomed with written permission.

We perform at local community events, private parties, hospitals and retirement homes. We perform at fund raising events, such as Singing Valentines, and hold at least two shows a year (September and February).
