Okaloosa Republican Party
- Government - County
The precinct is the smallest political unit in the State of Florida. OCREC, or the Okaloosa County Republican Executive Committee, is made up of Precinct Leaders from each precinct in the county. The Executive Committee is the governing body of the Republican Party in every county in Florida.
For every 1000 voters in a precinct, one man and one woman can be elected to membership in the Executive Committee. Attendance at two Executive Committee meetings is required and on the third meeting, the person becomes a Precinct Committeeman/woman by a vote of the existing Executive Committee. The Precinct Committee leader is the bridge between the voters and the Republican Party.
Precinct Committee Leaders are the GRASSROOTS ... the boots on the ground.
You will have the opportunity to influence the direction of the Republican Party, from the ground up! There is no time to waste.
