Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research exists to empower communities, inspire action, and fund the most promising research to develop better treatments and ultimately cures for childhood cancers.
As a top-rated charity nonprofit and philanthropic seed investor, Rally supports innovative, early-stage pediatric cancer research that might otherwise go unfunded. Every dollar raised helps bring safer, smarter treatments closer to the children who need them most.
Rally’s mission began in 2005, when 17-year-old William faced his second battle with a brain tumor in just two years. During that difficult time, Dean Crowe, Founder and CEO of Rally, asked how he could help. William’s mother offered a simple but powerful answer: “Raise money for childhood cancer research and fund the best research wherever it may be.”
Since then, Rally has made significant strides in the fight against childhood cancer. The organization has distributed more than $40.5 million in research grants and led advocacy efforts that helped secure $317.5 million in funding through the Department of Defense Medical Research Program for pediatric cancer research. Beyond research, Rally has supported families nationwide by providing more than 148,000 meals to those staying in hospitals during treatment and offering financial assistance to families facing the daily challenges of childhood cancer.
In 2015, Rally Pensacola was established to expand Rally’s mission locally. Since then, it has rebranded as Rally Gulf Coast and raised more than $5 million, built strong community partnerships, and delivered vital resources to pediatric oncology families across the Florida Panhandle and South Alabama.
Today, Rally Gulf Coast is located inside Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart, serving families throughout the Florida Panhandle, southern Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Rally Gulf Coast advances Rally’s mission through generous donors, community partners, special events, and school partnerships. The organization also provides direct family support through the Rally Gulf Coast Family Emergency Fund, the Rally Good Meal program, and community-building events that connect families to one another and to Rally Foundation.
Rally Foundation is proud to be a top-rated childhood cancer nonprofit, recognized by leading charity watchdog organizations for financial transparency, accountability, and impact. These honors reflect Rally’s unwavering commitment to using every dollar strategically, because behind each gift is a child’s future, a family’s hope, and the drive to discover better treatments and ultimately cures.
