About
Emerald Coast Victim Services (ECVS) is a nurse-led nonprofit organization supporting the Emerald Coast through trauma-informed forensic medical response, professional education, and cross-sector collaboration. Founded by Dr. Amanda Davis, DNP, FNP-C, ECVS strengthens community response to violence by addressing immediate clinical needs alongside long-term health impacts of trauma.
ECVS provides direct forensic medical response for survivors of sexual violence. Dr. Davis personally conducts trauma-informed forensic exams, ensuring timely, confidential, and patient-centered care that prioritizes safety, autonomy, and informed consent. These services are delivered in coordination with local partners to support appropriate reporting options, continuity of care, and survivor choice.
Beyond direct response, ECVS focuses on education and capacity-building across healthcare, public safety, and community systems. The organization provides training on trauma-informed care, forensic nursing practices, and the health consequences of violence, with the goal of improving consistency, reducing re-traumatization, and strengthening coordinated response.
ECVS also engages in prevention and community education through forums, awareness initiatives, and interdisciplinary partnerships that support public health and community safety goals.
Emerald Coast Victim Services serves as a trusted clinical and educational resource for city and county partners seeking to enhance coordinated response and improve outcomes for individuals impacted by violence. Through direct care, professional education, and collaboration, ECVS contributes to a safer, more informed, and more resilient Emerald Coast.
